History, nature and culture

Situated in the middle of the natural park El Foix and within DO Penedès, the house breathes nature. Nevertheless, and due to its closeness to the major routes, the main places of interest of Penedès, Garraf and also of the central Catalan coast are easliy accessible.

Beaches, nature, gastronomy, culture, wine tourism, … only one step away.

Castellet, a village with history

Near the ancient Via Augusta, previously known as Via Heráclia, and placed on an elevated location you can find Castellet. The village has a typical Mediaeval layout, with one street as a spinal column that goes up to the castle dated from the 10th Century, and built over an Iberian fortress. Beside the castle there is the Saint Pere church (Romanesque and dating from the 13th Century).

Natural park El Foix

The natural park El Foix is a natural space of big interest because of the variety of humid environments generated around El Foix reservoir, close to the Mediterranean coast. From the house and its surroundings you can enjoy the tranquillity of the park, observe aquatic birds or hike around the GR92.

El Penedès, land of vineyards, wine and cava

You can find a proof that El Bosque Lácteo is situated within the wine area DO Penedès inside the house: it has got a magnificent underground so called “cup” which was used in former times for the wine production. In the surroundings you can visit a large number of wineries and cava cellars to discover the world of wine.

A well situated oasis

The house is located far from the crowds but near of the places of interest of the Catalan central coast, like the Costa Daurada beaches – Sitges or Vilanova I la Geltrú – or the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona. You can enjoy the traditional and contemporary gastronomy, from the sea and the mountain, or do enoturism at El Penedès, El Priorat, El Montsant, …
